Questions
Do you work with clients outside South Africa?
Yes. We are based in Cape Town and work with clients across the UK, Europe and North America. Everything runs over email, video calls and a shared project board. Our hours cover most of the European working day, and 13:00–19:00 SAST (UTC+2) overlaps with the morning on the US East Coast.
How much does a website cost?
The packages above are starting prices in USD. Every project is still quoted after a short call, because the cost depends on how many pages you need, what the site has to do and whether we write the content. Once you approve your homepage concept, we invoice you directly for a 50% deposit, and the balance is due before the site goes live on your domain.
Do I own the website when it is finished?
Yes. Once the final payment is made, the domain, the files, and the content are yours. We hand everything over and you are free to take it to another developer at any time.
What if I don't like the design?
The homepage concept is free, so if it is not right you can walk away at no cost. After that, each package includes revision rounds to refine the design until it is right. If we still cannot get there, our refund policy sets out exactly where you stand.
Who hosts it, and what does it cost after launch?
Hosting is included in any monthly retainer. Without a retainer you arrange your own hosting, which for a site this size is usually a small monthly fee, plus your yearly domain renewal. We tell you the exact figures before launch.
What do you need from me to start, and how long does it take?
To start: your logo if you have one, a rough idea of the pages you want, and any text or photos you already use. Most sites go live within two weeks of the deposit and content landing. The main thing that slows a project down is waiting on content, so the sooner that arrives, the sooner you launch.
